Student Portal and Email Sign in Instructions

Step 1

Sign Out of any Microsoft accounts

Step 2

Find your Email Address

Skip to Step 3 if you have already received your Student Email Address

Find your Student Email Address

You will be presented with the 'Find My Student Email Address' form.

Enter the required information to receive your Email Address

Step 3

Sign in to the Portal

Enter the Email Address found in step 2. Then click Next.

Step 4

Enter your password.

Default Password is Wvm@{6-digit birthdate}

Example: If your birthdate is June 23, 1999 then your password would be Wvm@062399

Enter Password

Password change may be required, click the link below for guidance.

Step 5

Enter required information

Next you will be required to set up security measures for password recovery.

Set up at least one option.

Office Phone (Employee Only)
This option does not apply to students
Authentication Phone
You will have the option of receiving a text or phone call.
Authentication Email
This should be a personal email account.
Security Questions
For this option you will choose 3 pre-defined questions.

This information is stored with Microsoft. It is not stored in any district system.

When Security Questions are complete you will arrive at the West Valley or Mission College Portal.

Step 6

Click 'My Student Email' to open Outlook Online.

You will be prompted to select your language and time zone.

Select Time Zone

For California, select (UTC - 8:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Pacific Time

Your Student Email Account is now ready. Please check it regularly.
